Local MP Simon Hart's "pub politics" sessions are proving a big hit with voters with more than 75 people turning up at the most recent session at the Milton Brewery near Carew.
Mr Hart has been holding the informal meetings at pubs and clubs around Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire for the past 15 months. Everyone on the electoral register in a particular area gets an invite – and the evenings have been steadily getting busier and busier.
"We have held them in all parts of the constituency from Llanpumsaint in the north to Hundleton in the west. It's a chance for people to come and meet me in an informal setting and to ask me whatever they want.
"Every topic under the sun comes up, from the UK's role in Syria to speeding cars in Tavernspite. I don't pretend to know all the answers but it's a chance for people to get to know my views and to tackle me on things that the Government is doing or to tell me what they think should be done."
The events have steadily grown in popularity with around 30 residents attending the first few to more than 75 coming to the latest one.
"I think it's a great way to break down barriers between public and politicians and we are getting some very positive feedback from those who come along," added Mr Hart.
