Local MP Simon Hart has welcomed news that crime has fallen once again over the last twelve months. Latest figures from the independent Office for
National Statistics show that since 2010 recorded crime in Dyfed-Powys has fallen
by seven per cent.
The overall rates of reported crime have
dropped by 15% since last year and are at the lowest level since the survey
began more than 30 years ago.
Commenting, local MP Simon Hart said:
'It is great news that crime has fallen in
Dyfed Poyws once again. Our police officers can be rightly proud of their
success in cutting crime.
"I met the Police and Crime Commissioner
Chris Salmon this week and was delighted to hear that they are recruiting 90
new officers as well as keeping the current number of Police Community Support
