Welcoming this week's budget, local MP Simon Hart said:
"This week's budget follows new figures that show that unemployment levels in Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire have fallen again and that the economy is continuing to grow.
"The measures outlined will help deliver economic security and enable businesses to export more, build more, invest more and manufacture more.
"They will also reward savers and make life easier for pensioners.
"In Wales up to 300,000 ISA holders will benefit from raising the limit to £15,000 and the personal allowance increase will lift 14,000 people out of income tax altogether.
"Local businesses in the Haven Waterway Enterprize Zone will benefit from extended tax breaks which will encourage more investment and, from April, businesses will start to feel the impact of several important tax cuts.
"Corporation tax will fall to 21%; help on business rates will come in; and the landmark Employment Allowance will take up to £2,000 off employer National Insurance Bills.
"As George Osborne said this is a budget that will help the makers, doers and savers in Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire."
